The Death of Soul: Reflections on Humanity’s Inner Struggle

The Muse and I

The death of Soul

How many times had he fought cried and tried
How many times had he struggle ached and strived
How many times had he been blinded by the cloaked darkness in the sky

Soul was tiered now from all the suffering and all the injustice he had been put trough
Soul was disillusioned now from all the lifetimes and deaths that had gone bye
Soul wanted to give up now weak from not being able to love and live in a world filled with lie

Had he asked for too much when he wanted to reach out and touch the beauty and grace of man fuelled by passion and lust
Had he got it all wrong when he wanted to kiss someone on their cheek lips and eyes and be filled with emotions of passion in his heart
Had he done it all wrong when he wanted to share his wholeness with God man and the erotic dance of two living souls intertwined

Soul was tired now fighting to stay alive in the constant battle of earths heavenly lie
Soul was tired now from not feeling good enough and being constantly showered with dye
Soul was tired now from his longing to love and live and not having to die

Soul was dying now from no longer wanting to be alone or merely trying to stay alive

The Soul of man
blinded and killed
by mankind’s misguided
and camouflaged, Devine lie.

The Human Condition: A Soul in Turmoil

As we delve into “The Death of Soul,” we encounter a profound exploration of the human condition, a theme that resonates through the ages, echoing in the corridors of our collective psyche. The Poet crafts a narrative of a soul, weary and worn from the ceaseless struggles of existence, grappling with the disillusionments and injustices of life.

This soul’s journey mirrors the existential struggles of many literary figures, reminiscent of the troubled spirits in Dostoevsky’s works or the searching souls in Rilke’s poetry. Here, the Poet probes the depths of human despair, questioning the very essence of our existence and the price of our spiritual and emotional battles.

The Search for Authenticity in a Disillusioned World

In his poignant verses, the Poet delves into the soul’s quest for authenticity in a world masked by lies and illusions. This struggle to find truth and genuine connection in a superficial world is a theme that echoes Virginia Woolf’s introspective prose. The soul’s yearning for love and passion, only to be met with disillusionment, reflects a universal human longing for deeper connections beyond the facades of societal norms.

The Poet’s exploration of the soul’s desire to love and be loved, to feel wholly connected with others and the divine, is a testament to the eternal human quest for meaningful relationships and spiritual fulfillment. This mirrors the existential quests seen in the works of Kierkegaard, who pondered deeply on the nature of existence and our yearning for an authentic life.

The Universal Struggle: Love, Life, and Death

The final stanza of the poem brings us to the universal themes of love, life, and the inevitability of death. The soul’s exhaustion, stemming from its longing to love and live authentically, touches upon the human fear of mortality and the desire for eternal connection. This theme resonates with the existential musings of Camus and the tragic heroes of Shakespeare, all of whom grappled with the delicate balance between life, love, and the inexorable march towards death.

The Poet’s depiction of the soul’s struggle against the ‘heavenly lie’ of earthly existence invites us to reflect on the profound disconnect between our spiritual aspirations and the harsh realities of the world we inhabit. This dichotomy is a reminder of the age-old philosophical debates about the nature of existence and the human quest for meaning in a transient world.

In “The Death of Soul,” the Poet has woven a tapestry of human despair, longing, and existential questioning that speaks to the core of our being. It invites us to reflect on our own journeys, our battles with disillusionment, and our ceaseless quest for authenticity in a world often shrouded in illusion.

Let us ponder on these themes, as we navigate our own paths, seeking truth, love, and understanding in the intricate dance of life.
